# Student apartments in Famagusta: studios and 1+1 to rent monthly

Studios and 1+1 apartments priced per month — what students rent most often. Famagusta is home to Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), so demand for this kind of housing is high: at times there may be few offers, or prices slightly above average. The list updates itself: new listings appear, removed ones disappear.

Listings are collected from local Telegram channels and posted by authors via our bot; you contact the author directly — there is no middleman on our side.

### Is Famagusta abandoned?

No. Only the Varosha (Maraş) quarter is closed: it has stood empty since 1974, and in October 2020 a small part of it (about 3.5% of the area) was opened to visitors. The rest of Famagusta is an ordinary lived-in city; it is home to Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), founded in 1979, with about 18,000 students.

### How much does student accommodation cost?

There are too few listings for a typical price yet — see the prices in the listings on this page.
